Considered Jewellery

Considered Jewellery was founded with the belief that jewellery should be more than an accessory, it should reflect your values and make a difference. Every piece combines ethics and aesthetics whilst rebelling against the waste and opacity that have long defined the jewellery industry. Here, traceability is not a trend but a truth; each component is carefully chosen and tracked on their Transparency page,  from Fairmined gold traced to a single Colombian mine, to recycled sterling silver salvaged from NHS x-ray film.

Rooted in British craft yet global in conscience, Considered Jewellery is as much a movement as a maker. Its founders bring decades of experience in responsible sourcing, traceability and fair trade, translating that knowledge into design. They reject fast production in favour of slower cycles and visible supply chains, showing that progress can be traced, and that elegance, when made with integrity, can be timeless.

“When we make a piece of jewellery, we have the opportunity to shape the impact it has on the world. We’re committed to going beyond merely reducing harm – aiming to craft pieces that leave a lasting, positive legacy.”  – Considered Jewellery

Planet

For Considered Jewellery, sustainability begins with the metals themselves. Each piece in their Signature Collection is anchored in reclaimed sterling silver and finished in Fairmined gold vermeil, drawing its ethics from materials that are traceable, responsible, and respectful of the land. By keeping production rooted in the UK, from casting to plating, the brand shortens journeys and lightens its footprint, reducing their overall emissions.

With published commitments to map Scope 3 emissions by 2030 and reach Net Zero by 2035, Considered frames sustainability as a measured, ongoing craft – transparent, time-bound, and continually refined.

People

People are the heart of the brand’s integrity. Considered names every partner in its supply chain, honouring the hands behind each piece. They source from suppliers whose labour standards ensure fair wages, safe conditions, and freely chosen work.

Leadership strengthens this foundation: co-founder Victoria Waugh, a sustainability specialist and B Leader, brings decades of experience in ethical sourcing. Beyond its own studio, the brand uplifts others, working with partners such as the Kamoka pearl farm and Cambodia’s Ammo Jewellery social enterprise, ensuring that livelihoods and learning grow alongside its designs.

Business

Considered Jewellery operates with governance as polished as its pieces. Its Social & Environmental Policy codifies commitments to the UN Global Compact, the Green Claims Code, and REACH safety standards, ensuring every claim is backed by evidence. Its “Created in the UK” Signature line has earned recognition in national trade awards, where traceability and recycled materials set the brand apart.

With offerings that help other businesses create ethical collections, and plans for a yearly Impact Update tracking emissions and materials, Considered shows that responsibility isn’t an aesthetic – it’s a strategy.

Animals

The brand’s pieces carry no hidden harm. They use traceable pearls from the Kamoka family farm, where sustainable aquaculture protects both oyster and ocean.

Kamoka Pearls adhere to strict sustainable farming practices such as allowing their oysters to be cleaned naturally by tropical fish, preventing fishing in their farming area, and keeping their underwater zone pristine, which have helped to increase the local fish population.
